The MRC Centre for Regenerative Medicine is a vibrant community of scientists, technical and administrative staff working in a first class research facility at Edinburgh BioQuarter (Little France). See our latest vacancies or submit a speculative application.
Research Fellow/Associate in Computational Biology
Closing date: 19 November 2019
We are seeking a postdoctoral research fellow/associate with computational and analytic skills and experience of mathematical modelling of biological systems. Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant subject or equivalent research experience.
You will develop a computational framework for statistical analysis and mathematical modelling of immune cell behaviour in wound response. We want to create the analysis software as an open-source resource, and use this to analyse new experimental data. We envision that the resulting tool set will be extensible to collaboration with multiple experimental systems and enable use by experimental researchers, and produce material for peer-reviewed publications.

We are looking for and enthusiastic researcher at the postdoctoral level to join our team. Ideally, the candidate would have experience in haematopoiesis and/or leukaemia models, with first-hand experience in haematology assays (e.g. haematopoietic chimaeras, colony-forming assays), flow cytomoetry, cell culture and histology. Experience in the generation of genetically engineered vectors and immune cells for immunotherapy and molecular techniques, such as RNA-seq and bioinformatics, would be of particular advantage.

We always welcome speculative job applications from candidates who feel that they would make a valuable contribution to the MRC Centre for Regenerative Medicine (CRM).
If you are interested in joining one of our research groups but do not see a position available, please contact the group leader directly, enclosing a copy of your CV.
